Each one was built around one exact workflow, which is why it worked better than anything off the shelf. The same approach runs a service route, a sales territory, or a job board.
About
I'm Brent Billington, a licensed Professional Engineer. I spent a decade running multi-million dollar infrastructure projects, and saw how much time good teams lose to clunky tools and manual workarounds. Now I design and build custom digital tools that fix that for small businesses.
By day I'm a technology leader at an engineering firm. Billington Works is my own practice, and I keep it small on purpose: a few builds at a time, so each one gets my full attention.
Who it's for: small businesses, from crews in the field to the front desk. If your people are smart, your deadlines are real, and your current tools aren't keeping up, that's the conversation.
My biggest pet peeve is hearing "that's just the way we've always done it."

You describe the problem in your own words. I ask questions until I can see where the time goes.

You own what I build. And I don't disappear after handoff.
How I charge
No subscription. You own what I build.
You pay once for the build. After that, the tool, the code, and the data are yours, with no monthly fee to me to keep using it. Hosting runs on accounts you own, usually for a few dollars a month or less.
Builds: fixed price, agreed up front
You know the cost before I start. No hourly meter. I build with AI, which keeps custom work affordable for a small business.
Optional support plan
Want me on call after launch? A monthly plan covers fixes, changes, and new features. You never need it to keep the tool running, but it's there when something comes up or you have a new idea.
Project quotes cost nothing
Bring me a project and I'll scope it and give you a fixed price at no charge. If a custom tool isn't worth it, I'll tell you. Looking for general advice on AI or your tools instead? That's a coaching session.
